095: What I Learned by Living with Less Featuring Cait Flanders

Hey, I'm Chris.

I'm a former Analyst, Podcaster, and Producer. My goal is to help you understand your finances better in about the time it takes to make a bag of popcorn!

The Year of Less was one of my favorite books of 2018, which means this has to be one of my favorite episodes of 2019.  I’m joined by author and all around great person, Cait Flanders.  We discuss her book, emotions and money, and her meticulous record keeping.

Meet Today’s Guest – Cait Flanders

Cait Flanders is a former binge consumer turned mindful consumer of everything. Through personal stories, she writes about what happens when money, minimalism, and mindfulness cross paths. Cait‘s story has been shared in The New York Times, The Guardian, The Globe and Mail, Vogue, Oprah.com, Forbes, and more. She inspires people to consume less and live more.

Cait has been a blogger for over 8 years.  She got her start with her personal blog called Blonde on a Budget which eventually became CaitFlanders.com.  In addition to blogging, Cait worked on Rockstar Finance for 3 years and co-hosted the Honest Money Conversations podcast with Carrie Smith for 5 seasons.
